Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, and Baltimore Orioles Complete Three-Team Trade
The Astros, Rays, and Orioles have completed a big three-team trade. Here are the details that have been announced thus far:
Astros receive: Trey Mancini (from BAL), Jayden Murray (from TB)
Rays receive: Jose Siri (from HOU)
Orioles receive: Seth Johnson (from TB), Chayce McDermott (from HOU)
Mancini had been in the rumor mill for quite some time, so it isn’t too surprising to see that he has officially been moved. The Astros have landed themselves a very solid player with this move. He will certainly provide them with more pop in their lineup as they prepare for the playoffs.
In 92 games this season, he has 10 home runs to go along with 41 RBIs and a .268 batting average. Although his power numbers have been a bit down, he has still been quite effective. Expect for that to continue with the ‘Stros from here.
Siri will be hoping to find more consistency and playing time with the Rays from here. In 69 career games over two seasons with the Astros, Siri has seven home runs, 19 RBIs, and a .210 batting average.
Stay tuned as we await more details from this big swap.
