Giants Claim Lefty Off Waivers
The Houston Astros designated him for assignment on Saturday.
Now, the San Francisco Giants have claimed pitcher Jonathan Bermudez off waivers.
The Giants continue to scoop up pitchers, having signed Ken Giles earlier this week.
Bermudez was DFA'd on Saturday to make room for the return of David Hensley.

The twenty-six-year-old has really struggled in Triple-A this season, posting an atrocious ERA of 8.96, a 1.81 WHIP and 65 strikeouts over 67 innings.
He has a 2-4 record and has started 14 of the 19 games he's appeared in.
Bermudez has yet to make his major league debut, and it remains to be seen if that will happen with the Giants. He's a former 23rd-round pick of the Houston Astros in the 2018 MLB Draft.
