Dodgers Officially Release Veteran Catcher
He cleared waivers after being designated for assignment but the Los Angeles Dodgers have decided to cut him loose.

Wolters appeared in two games with the Dodgers, going hitless in all four at-bats. At the Triple-A level this season, he's been no better, hitting just .216/.311/.270, with no home runs and 24 RBIs in 193 plate appearances.

The thirty-year-old is a veteran of seven MLB seasons, played with the Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers, with a career slash line .235/.321/.314, with seven home runs, 123 RBIs and 131 runs scored over 407 games.
