Brault has been perfect for the Cubs' organization this season. In 5.2 innings for the Cubs this season, he's allowed zero runs while striking out five. In Triple-A, Brault has also allowed zero runs across seven innings to go along with eight strikeouts. He's recorded two wins.
Perfect season so far, in a very small sample size, for Brault.
The Cubs signed Brault to a one-year deal this past March and they haven't seen much of him as he's dealt with injuries all season.
Prior to this season, the thirty-year-old had spent his entire career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, posting an underwhelming 4.77 ERA with 291 strikeouts over 343 innings.
He'll be a middle-relief option down the stretch for the Cubs.
