Cleveland Guardians Parting Ways With Slugger
The Cleveland Guardians have designated Franmil Reyes for assignment.
Reyes was recently sent down to Triple-A by the Guardians and has had a rough 2022 season to say the least. In 70 games, he has nine home runs, 28 RBIs, and a very low .213 batting average. This is far below expectations for the power-hitting outfielder.
Although Reyes has struggled this season, he certainly could get interest around the league - whether that is through waivers or being released. Keep in mind, this is a player who just hit 30 home runs last season and who also has a 37-home run campaign on his resume. It will be intriguing to see where he ends up from here.
