"Chicken Sh*t!": Twins Manager Explodes After Losing Game On Controversial Call

The Minnesota Twins feel they were robbed of a critical win on Sunday by a controversial replay overturn of a play at the plate in the 10th inning. And manager Rocco Baldelli wasn't holding anything back.

"One of the most chicken-sh*t things I've ever seen on a baseball field." "It's f*cking awful. Awful. In every possible way."

The whole incident can be seen here.

It was the 10th inning, and Toronto Blue Jays baserunner Whit Merrifield was called out on a play at the plate, but replay reviews led the umpires to change the call, ruling that Twins catcher Gary Sanchez didn't give Merrifield a proper lane to the plate. The question is, was Sanchez not legal to be there because he was catching the ball?

Baldelli was ejected for arguing the call vociferously, but he was still fuming in the postgame news conference.

"That play has virtually never been called (before)... That's beyond embarrassing for our game and for all the players working their ass off... It's completely unacceptable.

"It's one of the worst moments of umpiring in any game I've ever been a part of in baseball, and I think it was pathetic.

"One of the most chicken-sh*t things I've ever seen on a baseball field.

"F*cking awful. In every possible way."

Let's just say that Baldelli was none too pleased.

The Twins' lead in the AL Central is now down to just one game over the Cleveland Guardians, and two games over the Chicago White Sox.
