Byron Buxton Hit By Injury Bug Yet Again
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is a supreme talent. But he simply can't stay on the field. Last night, the injury bug bit again, and Buxton had to leave the Twins game against the Texas Rangers.
Buxton out of game. Took a swing that bothered his knee, then, in sixth, dove for a ball and was slow to get up. Later in 6th looked like he didn't want to put weight on right leg to make a strong throw.

The knee is only one issue for Buxton this season, but according to manager Rocco Baldelli, it's his hip that's been the latest lingering problem.
Byron Buxton is getting MRIs done on his hip. Rocco says Buxton has been dealing with the hip for "a good part of the season," too, and they'll have to wait and see what they're dealing with.

Rocco: "Most of what he’s dealt with, we haven’t even talked about."
Buxton had an MRI on the hip, and Baldelli says it's something that he has been dealing with for "a good part of the season.
"What he's done to this point has been pretty amazing with the physical difficulties he's had," continued Baldelli. "I don't know what percentage he's at, but it's not a high percentage of what he can normally do physically."
The All-Star outfielder signed a 7-year, $100M contract in the offseason, with the Twins unable to look away from the immense talent that he possesses when he does play.
This season, in 92 games, Buxton has 28 homers and 51 RBIs along with an .833 OPS.
