Brewers Starter Could Rejoin Rotation Wednesday

The Milwaukee Brewers lost a starter this week, but appear to be getting one back as well.

After being scratched from his last rehab start, the Brewers are expected to activate starter Adrian Houser to start on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, in Aaron Ashby's absence.

It appears the reason for Houser's being scratched from his last rehab start was not because of health issues but, rather, so he could be fresh to replace the injured Aaron Ashby in the rotation.

The right-hander has been out since late June with a flexor strain and threw 68 pitches over 3.1 innings of work in his rehab start last Tuesday. As a result, he'll likely be on a pitch count in his first start back.
