Braves Phenom Records 1st HR & 1st Epic Bat Flip In 1st Game
It was a night of firsts for the latest Atlanta Braves phenom. Vaughn Grissom was called up from Double-A earlier in the day, and all he did was stroll into Fenway Park for his major league debut, and absolutely CRUSH a 412-foot home run clear over the Green Monster for his first big league hit. But even more impressive might have been the epic bat flip that followed it.

Talk about confidence. The kid is only 21 years old, and has the audacity to bat flip the heck out of it.
And that wasn’t all… Later in the game, he added his first line drive single, and first stolen base as well.
.@GrissomVaughn became the first #Braves player in the modern era to hit a homer and steal a base in his major league debut.

And finally, his postgame interview proves that this is a kid who simply loves the game and is in line to quickly become a huge fan favorite in Atlanta.

He said that after he hit the home run, "𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐚 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠... What a moment. I didn't know what to think, except laugh."
