With second baseman Ozzie Albies still on the injured list and, now, Orlando Arcia headed to the injured list on Wednesday, Grissom is most likely the replacement.
Grissom has been tearing it up in the minors this season, slashing .324/.405/.494, with 14 home runs, 67 RBIs and 27 stolen bases across 96 games.
Grissom is very similar to Michael Harris, whom the Braves called up earlier this season from Double-A, as he won't be 22 until January and was just drafted three years ago. He's primarily a shortstop but can also play second and third base.
Harris, in the minors this season, hit .305/.372/.506, with five home runs, 33 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases across 43 games. Those are very similar numbers to what Grissom has been averaging this season.
The Braves now have two exciting young players born in 2001 on their roster.
