Boston Red Sox Chief Baseball Officer & Manager Staying Put
The Boston Red Sox have had a horrible 2022 season. After an epic collapse over the second half of the season, they are essentially out of the playoff race with their 62-67 record. One may wonder if this could be enough to part ways with Chaim Bloom and Alex Cora, but Red Sox CEO Sam Kennedy told Ken Rosenthal that he has no plans to fire either of them.
It appears that the Red Sox are willing to give this duo another try in 2023. Bloom will need to make changes to Boston's roster this offseason if they want to have any chance of being a playoff team again. With the Red Sox being a big-market team, they should consider being spenders again.
Nevertheless, let's see if this decision pays off next season.
