Boston Red Sox Call Up Pitcher

The Boston Red Sox have called up Jeurys Familia to their major league roster.

Familia was recently signed to a minor league deal by the Red Sox, and now he has already earned himself a call-up to the majors. He spent this season with the Philadelphia Phillies, where he struggled. In 38 games, he has had a 1-1 record to go along with a rough 6.09 ERA. 

Famila will be aiming to bounce back and end the year on a strong note in Boston. In 537 career games, the one-time All-Star has a 33-26 record, 3.46 ERA, and 125 saves.
