Boston Red Sox Acquire Veteran Outfielder From Cincinnati Reds
The Red Sox have acquired Tommy Pham from the Reds in exchange for cash or a player to be named later.
This is a little bit of a surprising move, as the Red Sox have been viewed as sellers for the deadline. However, it appears that they are going to be doing a little of buying, too. Pham will provide the Red Sox with more outfield depth and is a potential replacement for Jackie Bradley Jr. in the lineup.
In 91 games this season, Pham has 11 home runs, 39 RBIs, and a .238 batting average.
