White Sox Team Leader To Miss Significant Time
The injury bug has not been kind to the Chicago White Sox this season. With many key members of the starting lineup already having missed chunks of time, they can now add their leadoff man Tim Anderson to the list once again.

Sources say that Anderson will be out 4-6 weeks with a torn ligament in his hand. Reporter Russell Dorsey says surgery is still a possibility.
Terrible break for the White Sox, who, despite being only two games over .500, are just two games back of the Minnesota Twins for the AL Central lead.
Tim Anderson hasn’t been the same for awhile. But still… just an absolute gut bunch at the worst time. This team is truly cursed. https://t.co/2N2jtzdOep

The two-time All-Star has been slumping of late, batting just .194 in his last seven games, and only .250 with a .594 OPS and just one home run and 6 RBIs over the last 30 games. Nevertheless, he will be sorely missed. He's still batting .301 on the season, with 50 runs scored in 74 games.
Anderson also missed three weeks with a groin strain in June.
The White Sox have also played large swaths of the season without the services of the likes of Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert, Yasmani Grandal, and Lance Lynn, among others.
