Athletics Promote Top Prospect

The Oakland Athletics are promoting their top prospect. 

Catcher Shea Langeliers is being promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas. 

The A’s are calling up Shea Langeliers to the majors. Happy for the kid, hope he balls out

Langeliers was acquired from the Atlanta Braves in the Matt Olson trade earlier this spring. The twenty-four-year-old will make his major league debut on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers. 

Langeliers was named the MVP of the 2022 All-Star Futures Game last month and has been slugging in the minors this season, batting .283/.366/.510, with 62 runs scored, 19 home runs, 56 RBIs and five stolen bases across 92 games this season. 

Langeliers is the number 28-ranked prospect in all of baseball.
