Arizona Diamondbacks Designate Infielder For Assignment

The Arizona Diamondbacks have designated Jake Hager for assignment.

Hager has been a decent utility option for the Diamondbacks this season, but that ultimately wasn't enough for him to maintain his spot on their 40-man roster. In 28 games on the year, he has zero home runs, three RBIs, and a .240 batting average.

Teams looking for depth should certainly consider claiming Hager off waivers. Time will tell what happens on that front.
