Angels' Superstar Takes Positive Step Forward in Recovery

Mike Trout has been out since July 18th and, until now, has really not been able to do any real baseball activities.

On Monday, he began hitting off of a tee, while not much, it's a positive step forward in his recovery.

Trout was limited to only dry swings and rotational work for a while due to the lingering discomfort in his back he was experiencing. He appears to be headed in the right direction now, however, as he tries to make his way back to the Los Angeles Angels' roster before the conclusion of the 2022 season.

The thirty-one-year-old has been on the injured list since July 18th with ribcage inflammation, which later was linked to a costovertebral dysfunction.

In just 79 games this season, Trout has hit .270/.368/.599, with 24 home runs and 51 RBIs. He's only appeared in 168 games combined over the past three seasons.

There is still no timetable for the return of the three-time MVP.
