Angels Superstar Could Return This Week
Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout could return this week.
Angels manager Phil Nevin was asked by reporters if Trout could return on August 17, and Nevin did not rule it out. However, he said the most likely return date is Friday against the Detroit Tigers.
Mike Trout had a scheduled day off from hitting on the field today but felt good after hitting the last two days, Nevin said. It sounds like Trout could return soon. Nevin said he didn't think Trout would return tomorrow but didn't fully rule it out either.

Trout faced live hitting pitching on Monday and said afterward that he "felt great".
Trout visited spine specialist Dr. Robert Watkins on July 28, he then started rotational exercises on August 3, progressing to swinging off a tee on August 8 and began doing full running and batting drills on August 13 and August 14.
The thirty-one-year-old outfielder has hit .270/.368/.599, with 24 home runs, 51 RBIs and 55 runs scored in 79 games this season.
