Yankees Player Putting Together Remarkable Season

What is going on with Matt Carpenter??

Since joining the Yankees in late May, Matt Carpenter has been unbelievable.

In 31 games, the thirty-six year old has slashed an absurd .351/.469/.911. But that's not all. Carpenter has also hit a casual 13 home runs and 34 RBIs in 97 plate appearances. Wow.

27 of his 29 hits this season have been home runs.

Carpenter just became the first Yankee, since Joe DiMaggio in 1940, to have at least two games with seven or more RBIs.

Quite the story for Carpenter who, after batting .176 over his last two seasons with the Cardinals, signed a minor-league deal with the Texas Rangers this spring before joining the Yankees.

Carpenter has been pulling the ball like crazy this season and it's been working out for him. Just looking at his 2022 hits spray chart is pretty incredible.

Who knows how long the veteran can keep it up for but it sure is fun watching him crush balls at the rate he has been this season.
