Twins Sign First-Round Pick
The Twins are set to sign 2022 first-round pick Brooks Lee. According to Ted Schwerzler, he will receive a $5.675 million signing bonus.
Lee was selected with the eighth-overall pick of the draft. That was a bit later than most expected, as he is viewed as one of the best prospects of his class. The Twins will be ecstatic to have the shortstop around, and there's reason to believe that he could be ready for the majors in the near future.
In 115 games during his collegiate career, Lee had 25 home runs, 114 RBIs, and a .351 batting average. He hit .405 this season as well, so it's clear that he is excellent at making contact. Let's see how much this translates over to the Twins later down the road.
