Tigers’ Eduardo Rodriguez M.I.A.— Contract Could Be Voided
The Detroit Tigers signed Eduardo Rodriguez to a 5-year, $77M free agent deal in the offseason. On June 13th, while on the injured list, he was placed on the restricted list for "personal reasons." The Tigers haven't heard from him since.

"We’ve reached out, but obviously he hasn’t reached out back, so we’re just kind of waiting it out. It is unusual, but we have no choice but to wait it out right now and see what develops as we move forward."

“From what I know, there’s been no movement whatsoever and no communication,” added Tigers manager A.J. Hinch.
When asked if he was in jeopardy of having his contract voided, Avila evaded the question.
Asked if the Tigers could look into voiding the Eduardo Rodriguez deal, GM Al Avila said, "I’m not going to get into that at this point, because obviously that’s a private situation on his part. I won’t get into those legalities." https://t.co/8ILoCNLaEB
