Tigers Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The Tigers have designated Drew Carlton for assignment.
Carlton has pitched in five games for the Tigers this season, where he has a 0-0 record and 2.08 ERA. Although he looked solid in the majors this year, it wasn't enough for him to keep his spot on the 40-man roster. Now, the Tigers will have to either trade or place Carlton on waivers before the week is done.
Carlton is a pitcher who is trying to cement himself as a full-time MLB player. In nine career games over the last two seasons, he has a 0-0 record and 2.92 ERA. Let's see if another club decides to take a chance on him from here.
