Tigers Call Up Pitcher

Drew Hutchison is set to join the Tigers yet again, as he has been called up to the major league squad.

It's been a whirlwind of a season for Hutchison. After being designated for assignment and electing free agency twice this season, he re-signed with the Tigers on both instances. Due to this, he is set to begin his third stint with the major league squad this campaign alone. 

The Tigers are expected to sign RHP Drew Hutchison next week. It will be the fourth time they've signed him since Feb. 2021.

When called upon, Hutchison has had mixed results with Detroit during the 2022 campaign. In 12 appearances, he sports a 0-4 record to go along with a 4.81 ERA. He will be aiming to find more consistency from here, as it could be what allows him to maintain his spot on their major league roster for the rest of the year.
