Tampa Bay Rays & Arizona Diamondbacks Complete Trade

The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired David Peralta from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Christian Cerda.

Peralta's name has been talked about a lot in the rumor mill, so it isn't surprising at all to see a move finalized. The Rays have also been on the hunt for an outfielder due to their injury trouble, and Peralta is certainly a solid one to acquire. In 87 games thus far this campaign, he has 12 home runs, 41 RBIs, and a .248 batting average.

Cerda, on the other hand, is a catcher prospect who is just beginning his career. In 20 games this season in the Florida Complex League, he has two home runs, 12 RBIs, and a .315 batting average.
