Scouts Will Be Watching Cubs Starter's Rehab Start
He's only pitched four games all season due to injuries, but Chicago Cubs veteran left-handed starter Wade Miley could immediately jump into the trade market as a serious player. He's making a rehab start on Friday, and that will go a long way to determining if the Cubs can score assets for their one-year investment.

Miley is recovering from a shoulder injury that saw him come back briefly in June, only to hit the IL again. He also dealt with an elbow issue in the spring.
When he has been on the mound this season, however, it has been impressive. In 4 games with the Cubs, the 35-year-old Miley has a 2.84 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP. That would certainly come in handy for a number of contenders.
Scouts will be watching his rehab start, which comes mere days before the trade deadline, and must make a decision quickly.
