San Francisco Giants & Tampa Bay Rays Complete Trade

The Giants have acquired Ben Bowden from the Rays.

Bowden will provide the Giants with more pitching depth as they try to push for a playoff spot. He has yet to appear in a major league game this season, however. During the 2021 campaign with the Rockies, he had a 3-2 record and 6.56 ERA. That is where his experience in the majors ends. He will be looking to change that in San Francisco.

Bowden made 28 appearances between Triple-A Albuquerque and Triple-A Durham this season. During them, he had a 4-0 record and 3.94 ERA. It will be intriguing to see how he performs with the Giants organization from here.
