Royals Release 3 Players
The Royals have released Roman Quinn, Brad Peacock, and Brandon Barker.
Quinn signed with the Royals earlier this campaign after he was released by the Phillies. He never received a call-up by the Royals and will now be testing the market yet again. In 201 career games, the 29-year-old outfielder has eight home runs, 41 RBIs, and a .162 batting average.
Peacock pitched quite well this campaign in Triple-A Omaha. In 35 games, he had a 2-1 record and 1.64 ERA, but that still wasn't enough for him to a land call-up. Perhaps his solid year could help him find another home from here. In 183 career games, he has a 34-31 record and 4.11 ERA.
Barker has yet to make his major league debut but did pitch in Triple-A last season. In 116 career minor league games, he has a 34-29 record and 4.37 ERA.
