Royals Lefty Hits IL Once Again
For the second time in less than a month, a blister problem has forced Kansas City Royals left-handed starter Daniel Lynch to the 15-day injured list.
Lynch originally went on the IL on June 24 for the injury, and came back only this past week to make two starts, before the blister acted up again.
The 25-year-old first-round pick in the 2018 Draft has had another rough season in KC, with a 5.05 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP in 15 starts. The numbers are only a miniscule improvement from his rookie year in 2021, when he posted a 5.69 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP, also in 15 starts.

In other moves today, the Royals sent 12 players to the minors: Angel Zerpa, Nick Pratto, Gabe Speier, Collin Snider, Brewer Hicklen, Michael Massey, Freddy Fermin, Nate Eaton to Triple-A; Sebastian Rivero and Maikel Garcia to Double-A.
The transactions come as the team is now able to reinstate their 10 unvaccinated players from the restricted list, all of whom lost four days pay and service time.
