Royals Call Up Infielder

Maikel Garcia has landed himself a notable promotion, as he has been called up to the Royals from Double-A.

Garcia has appeared in 22 Double-A games this season, he has three home runs, 30 RBIs, and a .287 batting average. Overall, these are pretty solid numbers from the youngster. He also has been a real threat on the basepaths, as he has a whopping 27 stolen bases already.

It will be intriguing to see how Garcia performs with the Royals from here. The jump from Double-A to the majors is a massive one, so all eyes should be on him from here.
