Report: Nationals All-Star Pitcher Likely Out For The Season
He's only gotten into eight games total over the last three seasons, and after just a single appearance in 2022, former three-time All-Star pitcher Stephen Strasburg is now expected to miss the rest of the season.

Jon Heyman reports that Strasburg has a nerve issue will essentially end his season, but it won't require a repeat of the thoracic outlet syndrome surgery he underwent last year.
Strasburg is the 6th highest-paid player in baseball, by average annual salary, at $35M. He signed a 7-year, $245M extension after helping lead the Washington Nationals to the 2019 World Series.
Since then, he's accumulated a total of exactly one win in just 8 starts, while allowing 24 earned runs in 31.1 innings. Over three seasons.
The Nationals have had some elite talents in recent years, but have let all of them go. Except Strasburg.
Imagine being the Nats and letting Harper, Scherzer, Turner and Soto go but signing Strasburg

Will Juan Soto be the next to leave? Trade talks have commenced.
