Reds Pitcher Throwing Again; Returning Later This Month
Reds pitcher Art Warren threw a bullpen session on Saturday.
Warren has been sidelined since early July due to a right flor pronator strain. Thankfully, however, additional testing did not reveal any ligament damage.
As a result, the pitcher should be ready to return to the Reds' bullpen later this month.
Warren started out the season strong but has faltered of late, now posting an ugly 6.91 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 28 innings. The Reds have also tested the twenty-nine year old in the closer situation this year, with Warren converting three of six save opportunities.
Warren's highlight of his season is helping Hunter Greene throw a no-hitter on May 15. They still lost the game, somehow.

In the 2020-21 season, Warren was a very solid bullpen arm, posting a 1.29 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a strong 34 strikeouts in 21 innings.
The Reds hope they can get last year's Warren back when he returns.
