Reds Claim Pitcher Off Waivers
The Reds have added to their roster, as they have claimed Ian Gibaut off waivers from the Dodgers.
Gibaut's stint as a Dodger was immensely short, and he did not even appear in a game for the squad. He only started the year with the Guardians and only made one appearance. With this, Gibaut is hungry to get into major league action. The Reds do not possess the strongest of pitching depth, so joining them could provide him with just that.
Gibaut has appeared in 28 major league games over the four seasons between the Rays, Rangers, Twins, and Guardians. During that span, he sports a 1-2 record to go along with a 5.19 ERA. It will be interesting to see if he can find a long-term home in Cincinnati from here.
