According to Alex Cora, Sale will have a pitch count of around 85 pitches on Tuesday. The left-handed pitcher has not pitched since October 03, 2021, having dealt with various injuries in that time.
Sale threw 72 pitches in his final rehab outing last Wednesday and was a bit wild, walking five batters over 3.2 innings before being taken out. He then took out his frustration on the team's clubhouse.

Sale would also be scheduled for a second start Sunday against the Yankees, but that remains to be seen.
The Red Sox get a much needed rotation boost with Sale returning, and will look to get back on track having gone 4-6 in their last 10 games.
