Rays Pitcher Set To Return

While speaking with the media, Rays manager Kevin Cash noted that Jeffrey Springs will return from injury after the All-Star break.

Springs has been out since June, and he certainly has been missed. In 19 games this campaign with Tampa, he sports a 3-2 record to go along with a 2.53 ERA. Overall, he has been solid when called upon, so the Rays will be very happy to have him back.

It will be intriguing to see if Springs is able to maintain his solid form when he returns. If he does, it should benefit the Rays as they try to get ahead of their AL East rivals.
