Rays Claim Infielder Off Waivers

The Rays have made an addition to their roster, as they have claimed Yu Chang off of waivers from the Pirates. 

Chang's season is continuing to be an eventful one, as he is set to join his third organization in 2022. In 22 games split between the Guardians and Pirates this season, he has one home run, two RBIs, and a .135 batting average. He will now be hoping to improve upon those numbers as a member of the Rays. 

The Rays have a strong cast of infielders, so Chang will need to impress to maintain his spot on their roster. If he doesn't, we could see him designated for assignment yet again before the season is out. We will have to wait and see how Chang performs as a Ray from here.
