Pittsburgh Pirates & New York Mets Complete Trade
We recently reported that the Pirates and Mets were having trade talks centering around Daniel Vogelbach. Now, those talks have officially led to a move, as the 29-year-old first baseman is heading to New York in exchange for Colin Holderman.
Vogelbach will provide the Mets with another option at DH - a position that they have been looking to upgrade. In 75 games this campaign with the Pirates, he has 12 home runs, 34 RBIs, and a .228 batting average. It will be intriguing to see what the 2019 All-Star does a Met from here.
Holderman, on the other hand, has primarily spent this season in Triple-A. Yet, when called up to the majors, he's been very solid. In 15 MLB games on the year, he has a 4-0 record and 2.04 ERA.
