Pirates Pitcher Heading To Triple-A
Earlier this week, Cam Vieaux was designated for assignment by the Pirates. Yet, he will now be remaining with the organization, as he has cleared waivers and will be heading back to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Vieaux appeared in five games for the Pirates during his call-up and certainly struggled when called upon. In 5.0 innings pitched, he allowed eight earned runs. That just wasn't enough for him to keep his spot in the majors, so now he will be going back to Triple-A because of it.
Vieaux will be aiming to impress in Indianapolis, as it could lead to him getting another call-up before the season is out. Time will tell what happens on that front.
