Padres Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Padres have designated Kyle Tyler for assignment.

Tyler has been solid when called upon by the Padres this season, so one could argue that this DFA wasn't deserved. In his two appearances, he pitched four scoreless innings. Yet, the team will now have to either trade or place him on waivers by the end of the week.

It will be intriguing to see if another club takes a chance on Tyler from here. Time will tell on that front.
