New York Mets Outfielder Designated For Assignment

The New York Mets have designated Travis Jankowski for assignment.

The Mets have been making changes to their roster as we get closer to the deadline, and this Jankowski moves only continues this trend. It is entirely understandable, however, as they just acquired an upgrade in Tyler Naquin on Thursday night.

The Mets will have until the end of the week to either trade or place Jankowski on waivers. It will be intriguing to see where the veteran ends up from here. Teams in need of some outfield depth could be interested in bringing him.
