MLB Rumors: Washington Nationals Shopping Veteran Infielder
The Nationals are major sellers, and they are expected to trade big-name players like Juan Soto and Josh Bell before the deadline passes. Yet, another player who is also available is infielder Cesar Hernandez.
Hernandez is obviously not a star, but he has the potential to be a solid addition to a team in need of some infield depth. In 99 games this season with the Nationals, he has zero home runs, 21 RBIs, and a .243 batting average. Again, he isn't dominant, but he can work quite well as backup option.
Hernandez also comes with a lot of overall experience, too. In 1,138 career games over 10 seasons, he has 70 home runs, 356 RBIs, and a .268 batting average.
