MLB Rumors: Several Giants Players Enter Trade Market

After holding out as long as they could, going 1-8 since the All-Star break has turned the San Francisco Giants into sellers, and it appears that they are finally ready to listen to offers for several veterans, with a number of names being most likely to be dealt by Tuesday’s trade deadline.

The biggest name of all, if they were to make him available, would be ace starter Carlos Rodon. He’s set to opt out at season’s end, making him a free agent again, after a banner year. He would immediately become the best pitcher available on the market. Rodon is 8-6 with the Giants with a 3.18 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP, and an equally spectacular 148:39 strikeout to walk ratio.

Other Giants on the final year of their contracts who would be prime candidates to be traded include Wilmer FloresDominic Leone, and Joc Pederson.

A Pederson reunion with the Atlanta Braves has been rumoured in recent days, as the defending World Series champs are in need of outfield help, just as they were when they acquired Pederson at the 2021 trade deadline.

This Giants news spices up the trade market with just three days to go.
