MLB Rumors: San Francisco Giants Shopping Veteran Infielder

The Giants have gone cold as of late and now sport a 50-51 record because of it. As we reported yesterday, they are planning to be sellers at the deadline because of this and several veterans have been made available. Now, Evan Longoria's name has entered the mix.

Longoria has an option for the 2023 season but has already hinted at retiring at the end of this year. As a result of this, the Giants and veteran could decide a trade is the best course of action. Keep in mind, the 36-year-old has yet to win a World Series and likely wants one last chance to secure one. That won't happen in San Fran this year.

It will be intriguing to see if the Giants can find Longoria a new home before the end of the week. Perhaps a reunion with the Rays could be in order.
