MLB Rumors: Washington Nationals To Trade DH Shortly

Once it became clear that the Nationals were once again going to be among the worst teams in the league this campaign, Nelson Cruz's name dominated the rumor mill. Now, trade talks are picking up, and the veteran DH is expected to have a new home shortly.

Cruz hasn't had the best of campaigns this year, though. His power numbers have gone noticeably down, as he has just eight home runs to go along with 48 RBIs and a .242 batting average. Yet, baseball fans know how much of a threat he can be when he gets hot, so there are teams still interested in the 42-year-old.

Cruz will provide a team with more pop in their lineup and comes with an immense amount of experience. In 1,966 career games, he has 457 home runs, 1,286 RBIs, and a .275 batting average.
