MLB Rumors: Diamondbacks "Would Love" To Trade Pitcher
According to Bob Nightengale, the Diamondbacks would love to trade Madison Bumgarner before the deadline passes.
Bumgarner's contract is the major reason why Arizona is looking to trade him. His five-year, $85 million contract does not expire until after the 2024 season, so he possesses both a lot of salary and a decent amount of term.
In 17 games this season with Arizona, Bumgarner has a 4-8 record and 3.74 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if the D-Backs can find him a new home from here.
