Cubs Star Rookie To Return Monday

The Chicago Cubs have had to make do without their star offseason addition for over five weeks now, but that wait appears to be over as Seiya Suzuki has completed his rehab in Iowa and is set to return to right field for the Cubs on Monday.

Suzuki has done just fine, thank you, in his 3-game rehab at Triple-A, going 4-for-9 with a home run, two doubles, 3 RBIs and a 113 mph laser off the center field wall. That's all good for a .444 average and a 1.545 OPS.

The Japanese superstar got off to a blistering start in the Windy City, hitting .372 in his first 15 games with the Cubs, with a 1.238 OPS. He ran into some hard times after that, until a sprained ring finger forced him to the injured list near the end of May. He sits with a .245 average and a .775 OPS, but appears ready to rake once again.
