MLB Rumors: Colorado Rockies Veteran Outfielder To Stay Put
Although many view the Rockies as sellers this deadline season, it is unlikely that Charlie Blackmon will be on the move. GM Bill Schmidt told reporters that no teams have expressed interest in the veteran outfielder. Furthermore, it's unlikely that he would accept a move to another team, anyway.
Blackmon has already told reporters that he plans to exercise his player option for the 2023 season as well. Thus, Rockie fans who love Blackmon should be excited over this news.
Although Blackmon is no longer an All-Star, he is still having another solid year in Colorado. In 91 games, he has 16 home runs, 59 RBIs, and a .271 batting average.
