MLB Rumors: Cleveland Guardians Pitcher To Be Traded

According to Jeff Passan, the Guardians are willing to trade Aaron Civale before the deadline passes.

Civale is the second Guardians pitcher to hit the block, as Zach Plesac has been getting attention from around the league - with the Cardinals being viewed as frontrunners. Civale could be an interesting addition to another club, but he would need to bounce back from what has been a rough 2022 season.

In 12 starts this season, Civale sports a 2-5 record to go along with a very high 6.17 ERA. That certainly is below expectations from him, as he just had a 12-5 record and 3.84 ERA in 21 starts last season. That kind of year will likely still lead to other clubs expressing interest in him, so let's see if he is moved next week.
