MLB Rumors: Arizona Diamondbacks Shopping Closer

The Diamondbacks are heading into the trade deadline as sellers. One pitcher who they are listening to offers on is Mark Melancon because of this.

After an All-Star season with the Padres in 2021, Melancon has struggled this campaign. In 37 appearances with the D-Backs, he has a 3-8 record to go along with a 4.96 ERA. That is far below what we have come to expect from the veteran, but perhaps a change of scenery could help him get right back on track.

In 707 career games, Melancon has a 37-38 record, 2.89 ERA, and 257 saves. With that, he is a four-time All-Star.
