MLB Rumors: AL East Rivals Talking Trade

According to Bob Nightengale, the Rays are another team expressing interest in Yankees outfielder Joey Gallo.

For a player hitting .159, Gallo is certainly getting a decent amount of attention around the league. Teams like the Rays must be confident in the possibility of Gallo bouncing back from what has been a historically bad season. Yet, when on his game, he has the ability to be a dominating power hitter, as his two 40-home run seasons show effectively.

The Rays are in a deep AL East division, so perhaps adding a player like Gallo could help them keep up. Yet, with the Yankees being a division rival, Gallo won't be added at a cheap price.
