Marlins Promote No. 1 Pitching Prospect
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 Draft, and the Miami Marlins' top pitching prospect, Max Meyer, will be making his major league debut this weekend.
As per MLB Insider Jon Morosi, "his slider was the single best pitch in the draft... that slider is electrifying."

The 23-year-old remained calm, cool and collected when he received the news from his Triple-A manager.

At Triple-A this year, Meyer has a 3.72 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP, and 10.1 K/9 with a 65:19 K:BB ratio. In 2021, he pitched to a 2.41 ERA in 20 starts at Double-A.
